The sealing surface of the wedge-shaped slurry valve is at a certain angle to the vertical centerline, that is, the two sealing surfaces are wedge-shaped. This type of slurry valve is suitable for high-pressure, large-diameter applications, and sometimes single gate, double gate, or elastic gate are used to adapt to temperature changes and medium characteristics.

According to the structure of the valve stem, slurry valves can be divided into open stem slurry valves and concealed stem slurry valves. The valve stem nut of the rising stem slurry valve is located on the valve cover or bracket. When opening and closing the gate, the rotating valve stem nut is used to achieve the lifting and lowering of the valve stem. This structure is beneficial for the lubrication of the valve stem and has a significant degree of opening and closing, so it is widely used. The stem nut of the concealed rod slurry valve is located inside the valve body and is in direct contact with the medium. When opening and closing the gate, it is achieved by rotating the valve stem. The advantage of this structure is that the overall height of the slurry valve remains unchanged, making it suitable for large diameter or slurry valves limited by installation space. But this structure requires the installation of an opening and closing indicator to indicate the opening and closing status.
